Bufff Västra Götaland is a non-profit children's rights organization that works to ensure that children with an incarcerated family member are seen, heard, and receive the right support. We are now looking for an operations manager who wants to carry and further develop our operations – with professionalism, compassion, and a strong belief in children's rights.
About the role
As the operations manager, you are the local office's operational chief. You are responsible for the daily operations, ensuring the quality of our interventions, and are a key person in developing the organization in collaboration with the board.
Your responsibilities include:
- Staff management and personnel responsibility for hourly employees, including recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and workplace safety work
- Leadership and support for volunteer leaders
- Strategic planning, organizational development, and quality work
- Budget responsibility, financial monitoring, and reporting to the board and Bufff Sweden
- Ensuring professional and rights-based methods in working with children and youth
- Project management, including applications, administration, and follow-up of project and association grants
- Collaboration and relationship building with authorities, the Prison and Probation Service, municipalities, and other organizations
- Representation in networks, meetings, social media, and other external contexts
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or another relevant field
- Documented experience in management or leadership roles, preferably within a smaller organization or the non-profit sector
- Experience working with vulnerable target groups or children's rights issues
- Documented ability to drive processes, structure operations, lead, and follow up on change work
- Strong communication skills and confidence in representing an organization externally
- Understanding of rights-based work and children's rights according to the Convention on the Rights of the Child
- Driver's license B
- Ability to express oneself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.

Meritorious:
- Experience with or work in grant-funded operations
- Experience collaborating with authorities, especially in criminal justice or social services-related activities
- Ability to express oneself in speech and writing in a language other than Swedish and English.
