We are looking for pedagogical, committed, and inspiring supervisors who want to guide young people through their very first summer job!

We want to help build Borås – not just through housing, but by creating opportunities for the city's youth. In the summer of 2026, we will offer summer jobs to approximately 260 young people aged 15–18. Together with them, you will work outdoors with property maintenance, green areas, and outdoor environments around our residential areas.

About the role

As a supervisor, you will be responsible for receiving, motivating, and guiding summer workers during their three-week periods with us. For many, this is their first contact with working life, and through your mentorship, you will have a significant impact on their view of the job market and future careers.

You will have overall responsibility for about 10 young people per period and will work alongside other supervisors and colleagues in the organization.

Your main tasks:

• Introduce, coach, and mentor the young people in their tasks.

• Be a good role model, motivator, and inspirer.

• Teach structure, work ethic, and responsibility.

• Ensure that working hours and practical frameworks are followed.

• Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating work environment.

Employment period: June 1 – August 5, 2026. Working hours are either daytime from 07:45 to 16:45 or evening from 10:00 to 19:00. It is important that you can work throughout the entire period without longer continuous leave.

Who are we looking for?

We see that you have a few years of work experience and feel comfortable mentoring young people through experience in, for example, professional or community life. You have a genuine interest in mentoring and are confident stepping into a leadership role – even when challenged or when conflicts arise.

To succeed in this role, you need to:

• Be pedagogical, social, and have great patience.

• Have good problem-solving skills and be able to handle different situations professionally.

• Be independent, engaged, structured, and flexible.

• Have good collaboration skills with both young people and colleagues.

• Be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have education or previous experience in mentoring.

• Are handy and have an interest in property maintenance.

• Have previously worked with children and young people.

• Have a driver's license.
