Senior Social Worker for SoL/Elderly Care

About the Workplace
The Assistance Unit is responsible for authority exercises according to SoL and LSS regarding children, youth, adults, and the elderly with physical, neuropsychiatric, and/or mental disabilities, as well as the law on transport services/national transport services.
The unit consists of 14 dedicated social workers, 1 social administrator, two senior social workers, and a unit manager. The Assistance Unit has one senior social worker linked to SoL/elderly care and one senior social worker linked to LSS and transport services.
The unit is now seeking a senior social worker for SoL/elderly care.
Your workplace will currently be located in central Nödinge, close to commuter trains and the E45 highway.
Job Responsibilities
As a senior social worker (SoL/elderly care), you will plan and drive the operational work on behalf of the unit manager and follow up on the activities. In your role as a senior social worker, you will serve as an accessible and close support, leading and providing guidance in daily work. Furthermore, you will recognize the potential of the caseworkers and adopt a coaching approach. You will participate in the introduction of new employees and play an important role in creating and maintaining a good work environment within the unit. You will be responsible for method guidance and keep yourself updated on current research, case law, and legislation in the field. In your role, you will contribute to ensuring that social workers work equivalently and effectively.
The majority of the work will be based in your office with proximity to your colleagues, but with the possibility of remote work within the framework of your tasks.
Your assignment as a senior social worker will also involve assisting the unit manager with various operational issues, such as planning and following up on the goals of employees and the unit. Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally. You will also be part of a network consisting of senior social workers within IFO (individual and family care), which enables good collegial support. We also offer external supervision.
You can expect close and trust-based leadership from your immediate manager. You will also have competent and experienced colleagues. You will receive an individually tailored introduction to help you settle into your work and role more easily.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has other education that the employer deems equivalent.
We are looking for a confident person who:
- Has extensive experience in authority exercises regarding the relevant target groups and is well acquainted with applicable legislation primarily concerning SoL authority exercises related to the elderly.
- Is unpretentious and sees the whole picture.
- Enjoys collaborating and is a team player but can also work independently.
- Has a coaching approach.
- Is structured and can maintain focus despite various demands from the environment.
- Has a good ability to prioritize and can make decisions when necessary based on the goals of the organization.
- Has good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
Good knowledge of the operational systems Treserva, IBIC, and SAMSA is a requirement.
A driving license (B) is required.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience in leadership and work with authority exercises according to LSS and/or the law on transport services.
