The Welfare Sector consists of four operations: disability services, home care and home health care, individual and family care, and care homes.

The disability services operation carries out all the interventions regulated by LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons), which include special housing, daily activities, and personal assistance.

The main task of the operation is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life for people with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant in a residence with special service LSS, we work in the residents' homes to provide individual support, stimulation, service, and care according to LSS, as well as training and assistance with activities based on each individual's specific needs and wishes. Additionally, all tasks that occur in a home are included.

To succeed in this role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as good documentation and computer skills since the job involves a lot of contact with residents, colleagues, relatives, and other professionals. The work also includes documenting the implementation of the approved intervention to maintain continuity and quality.

The everyday work requires you to follow up, analyze, and actively work on adapting the environment and approach in the user's daily life. It is important to create a calm and safe atmosphere for the residents.

You will be part of a staff group with scheduled work according to the needs of the operation during day and evening hours, on-call during the night, and weekend shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying have completed the nursing program, child and leisure program, or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with people in the area of disability and LSS, as well as good knowledge and experience of low-arousal responses. Previous experience in psychiatry or working with individuals with psychiatric diagnoses is also desirable.

To meet people with various issues and needs, you need to be attentive, have a strong empathetic ability, and be able to work systematically according to established routines. You should be able to work both independently and in a team. As a person, you are calm, stable, and have an easy time creating, nurturing, and maintaining contacts and relationships.

Of course, you have an interest in working with people with disabilities and are responsive to the needs of users and the operation. You are positive and see the importance of good collaboration with users, relatives, colleagues, and others.
