We are now looking for a dedicated support pedagogue who wants to work with adult tenants with acquired brain injuries in our housing with special services.

Our residences accommodate six tenants, both men and women, and provide support around the clock. Together, we create a safe, meaningful, and structured everyday life where each individual has the opportunity to develop their independence and participation.

As a support pedagogue, you have overall responsibility for the pedagogical work in the organization, while working closely with the tenants alongside support assistants. You guide colleagues in methods and approaches, contribute to structure, routines, and quality, and work to strengthen the individual's opportunities and independence.

The work includes both pedagogical and practical support, such as assistance with cooking, cleaning, and personal care. The role also includes responsibility for social documentation and implementation plans according to applicable laws and guidelines.

You collaborate closely with colleagues, management, relatives, guardians, and other important stakeholders. You are part of a network with other pedagogues and actively contribute to the quality and development work of the organization.

The position involves work during the day and evening, as well as every other weekend based on the needs of the organization. Scheduling is done in Time Care Planning.

Qualifications

A post-secondary education with a focus on the disability area is required for the position. You have either at least 200 YH credits, 120 higher education credits, or 60 higher education credits in combination with at least two years of professional experience in the field. The education should include relevant parts in areas such as behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, or (psychiatric) care. Other education may also be relevant if the employer assesses it as equivalent.

Communication and documentation are important parts of the work, which requires that you have passed Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1. If you do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, you may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.

It is an advantage if you have YH education as an activation pedagogue, previous experience working as a support pedagogue, and knowledge of and experience with methods and approaches such as low-affect meeting (LAB), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), clear pedagogy, individual needs in focus (IBIC), and motivational interviewing (MI).

We are looking for someone who communicates clearly and can adapt their message to the recipient and situation. You are attentive, empathetic, and show respect in your interactions with others. You collaborate well with colleagues and contribute to a positive and safe work environment. Furthermore, you work in a structured manner, plan and prioritize effectively, and take responsibility for completing and following up on tasks.
