30-Year-Old Man with Congenital Multiple Disabilities Seeks Personal Assistant for Awake Nights

We are looking for a responsible, attentive, empathetic person who can easily absorb information and collaborate. You must have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written, as important verbal and written information is involved. Previous experience with multiple disabilities and epilepsy is preferred, but personal suitability is the most important factor. If you want to make a real difference for a young man with significant needs, you might be the one we are looking for!

You will start with a part-time position that may later transition to a fixed-term contract as long as the assistance assignment lasts, with a workload of 60% if the collaboration goes well. It is a big plus if you can step in extra when needed. Shifts are mostly from 21:00 to 08:00, but also from 18:00 to 07:00. Every third weekend is included.

The cooperative has roots in the Independent Living movement, which is based on the principle that those with disabilities know best how they want to live their lives. Typically, the person entitled to assistance is the closest supervisor of the assistants, or a person with in-depth knowledge of the individual is appointed.
