About Us

You will work in Ward 242, which specializes in the treatment of patients with psychotic disorders. The ward operates based on the method of Person-Centered Care. Organizationally, you belong to the Psychosis Rehabilitation Clinic, which includes three social workers responsible for social work on their respective wards at Mölndal Hospital.

What We Offer You

We offer an interesting job in a multidisciplinary team with great commitment. You will also be part of a larger group of social workers within the psychosis clinic and receive collegial supervision. There are good opportunities for participation in research.

Job Responsibilities

As a social worker on the ward, you are responsible for raising and monitoring psychosocial issues in teamwork, and you are also involved in the care planning process. You monitor patients' rights and meet their needs for advice and support in matters concerning housing, finances, and relationships. This may involve contacts with other healthcare providers, social services, insurance agencies, other authorities, and assisting in the discharge process. An important part of the social worker's responsibilities is family work. When someone becomes ill with psychosis, the entire family is affected. It is important to involve relatives in the treatment and provide information, education, and support, with a focus on the perspective of children.

About You

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or a similar/equivalent education. Experience in psychosis care and training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) is an advantage. It is desirable if you have experience in collaboration and knowledge of and can navigate in SAMSA.

It is important to be able to collaborate easily but also to work independently. Sensitivity and attention to detail are important qualities. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
