Support Assistant at Active Plan

Active Plan is an outreach daily activity center focused on business groups according to LSS for adults.

Our work is based on each participant's individual needs, goals, conditions, interests, and wishes. The goal is to create a meaningful, motivating, and stimulating everyday life where development is at the center.

Responsibilities as a Support Assistant with us:

• Plan and implement meaningful and pedagogically thought-out activities together with colleagues.
• Be the contact person and take responsibility for all parts of the assignment, including contact with relatives, social workers, and other partners.
• Establish and follow up on implementation plans and document according to IBIC, including daily notes and summaries.
• Support, motivate, and coach participants in their daily activities based on individual needs.
• Participate in and contribute to professional development by sharing, using, and spreading new knowledge and technology.
• Participate in quality development work within the organization.
• Contribute to a good working environment and a positive collaborative climate.

About the Organization

In the unit, three support assistants and two support pedagogues work together with about 19 participants. The activities are conducted in smaller groups in collaboration with external actors in retail, service, and soon also hotels.

We have business groups at ICA Maxi and Coop Bäckebol, as well as service groups in the Angered area. Supervision is provided with about 5-7 participants per staff member.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and support participants in their daily work tasks
• Work in a grocery store: stock picking, display, date marking, order, and service
• Varied service and office tasks
• Participate in the establishment of new assignments within the hotel industry

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree from the Health and Care Program, Support Assistant Training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work. The educational requirement is also met if you have a post-secondary specialization in the disability area that includes at least 200 YH points, 120 higher education credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 higher education credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

A requirement for the position is experience with the target group. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in daily activities and have experience with social documentation in Treserva. For the position, it is required that you have experience working with individuals with disabilities. You have a good ability to supervise and motivate participants and create structure and clarity in daily work. You collaborate well with both colleagues and external actors and have a professional and respectful approach. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work independently, take responsibility, and make your own decisions in your work. A driver's license is required. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing user Educateit.
