Treatment Assistant at SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. Working with us at SiS will be an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungbacken accommodates boys aged 16 to 20 years. The institution is located in Uddevalla.
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable individuals? Then the job as a treatment assistant is a meaningful challenge. When you work as a treatment assistant with us, you and your colleagues from various professional backgrounds are responsible for ensuring that the young people living with us receive the security, care, and treatment they need. In this role, you are expected to be physically active and participate in health-promoting activities, while also helping to ensure that the daily routines for the young people run smoothly with regular household tasks. Documentation is an important part of your work. The tasks may involve heavy lifting, and you need to work with a high level of risk and safety awareness. This is a job for those who can stay the course, creating safety and security in the often very difficult life situations of the young people.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a positive view of people and a drive to work with young individuals. You relate to people in a responsive and flexible manner while being able to set boundaries and follow decisions made. You collaborate well with your colleagues and are secure, stable, and capable of maintaining a professional approach. We place great importance on your personal suitability.
You should also have:
- A completed upper secondary education, which includes passing grades in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1, Mathematics 1, English 5, and a final project. Alternatively, if you have an older approved upper secondary education. If your education was not completed in Sweden, it must be validated by the Swedish Council for Higher Education.
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
- Driving license B.
- Experience working with individuals in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, substance abuse care, criminal care, or health and social care.
Knowledge and experience of NPF diagnoses are advantageous.
Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement.
Working hours are according to a schedule including days, evenings, and weekends.
