At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for you who are a nursing assistant/caregiver and want to work full-time/part-time during all or part of the summer at Daggrosen or Hökåsen nursing homes in Västerås. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful existence in their later years. We always start from the resident's will and own ability and focus on the healthy aspects. As a nursing assistant/caregiver, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the elderly person's individual needs. Typical tasks include daily care, medication management, documentation, support during activities, serving/preparing meals, and cleaning in the residents' apartments. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. It's a very exciting job!

Daggrosen is located in Önsta - Gryta, with good bus connections, as bus number 2 stops outside. There is also staff parking available. The building has 36 places spread over 3 floors. Floor 1 has a somatic focus, while floors 2-3 are intended for people with various forms of dementia.

Hökåsen nursing home is a small house with 12 places. Located in Hökåsen, also with good bus connections, as bus number 21 stops outside. Focused on individuals with dementia.

Daggrosen and Hökåsen have the same manager, nurse, and rehab staff. We collaborate across the buildings and have planned days in each house.

As a summer substitute with us, you will have access to Cappy – a smart app that gives you an overview of your working hours and salary. In the app, you can see your worked hours, earned salary, preliminary salary payments, information about available shifts, and how much you can earn from an extra shift. With Cappy, there is also the option to withdraw part of your earned salary for extra shifts/hourly shifts directly after completing a shift.

We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and responsive when needed.

• It is an advantage if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.

• Please apply for a professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare if you are a trained nursing assistant.

• Previous experience in elderly care is highly meritorious.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Employment type: Summer substitute

Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026, or earlier if needed

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
