The section for Personal Documents is now seeking a senior system developer who wants to be part of developing the new government e-identification – one of Sweden's most important digital societal systems.

You will be a key person in a team facing crucial technical and strategic choices, where your knowledge will have a real impact on systems, architecture, and ultimately millions of users. You will be based in modern premises in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, with the possibility to work from home up to two days a week. As a government employee at the Swedish Police Authority, you will be offered secure and special benefits regarding pensions, parental pay, wellness, etc.

Job Description

In the role of Senior System Developer, you will take clear responsibility for driving and further developing our systems with a focus on user needs and the organization's goals. You will help lead the technical development work over time, from design and architecture to implementation and management, and actively contribute to ensuring that the solutions are robust, scalable, and secure. The work is done in close collaboration with a cross-functional team consisting of other system developers, specialists, and competent colleagues from various parts of the organization and the IT department, where you collectively make technical decisions and work towards set goals.

About the assignment:

  • Focus on building and modernizing solutions for the new government e-identification
  • Management and adaptation of existing systems based on new needs, regulations, and legal requirements
  • Work in a modern technical platform with:
  • Microservice architecture
  • Container-based solutions
  • Automated deployment flows
  • Strong focus on quality, security, and long-term sustainability
  • Opportunity to take clear technical leadership and contribute to system architecture as well as act as a technical sounding board in the team

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Education in system/computer science or equivalent acquired experience that the Swedish Police Authority assesses as equivalent
  • Several years of work experience in Java on Linux platform
  • Several years of experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks
  • Several years of experience with microservice architecture and container-based environment (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish
  • Swedish citizenship

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Experience working in roles with technical leadership (e.g., Tech lead/Lead developer)
  • Previously implemented security solutions based on OIDC/OAuth2.
  • Experience with CI/CD on Jenkins, for example with tools/platforms such as Bitbucket, Nexus, Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, Gitops, and Maven
