Your Mission

As a future system integrator, you will belong to the technology department. The department is responsible for providing FRA with the technical systems needed for intelligence production. The department develops, manages, and implements new technical systems and oversees the operation and maintenance of existing systems.

In this role, you will participate in a 6-month introductory program at our office within Operations and IT Infrastructure. During the introductory months, you will work with 1st and 2nd line support, work in the data center, server installations, Unix/Linux clients and servers, Windows clients and servers, as well as work with networks and monitoring.

After completing the training, you will be offered a clear direction and the opportunity to develop into a specialist in your area of knowledge and interest. We provide you with both time and resources for your own studies as a natural complement to your work. In this role, you will closely collaborate with several parts of the agency and be responsible for supporting and assisting end-users.

At FRA, we have strong confidentiality, and it is important that you feel comfortable handling it. Travel within the country may occur in the position.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

• Recently completed high school education or post-secondary education with a technical focus
• Recently studied basic networking technology or operating systems
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

We consider it an advantage if you have:

• Recently completed a university degree or vocational training with a focus on IT
• Professional experience in IT operations
• Cisco at CCNA level
• Knowledge of operating systems for both server and client environments, such as Windows and Linux.
• Scripting and basic programming

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security-checked in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
