Home Care

When illness or disability makes it difficult for patients to visit the health center or hospital, we in home care are there to provide attentive healthcare directly in the patient's own home, in short-term accommodation, and in special housing. We are a total of about 80 employees distributed across three different teams around our island, and we are currently looking for occupational therapists for our summer substitutes!

Home care is planned based on geographical areas with multiprofessional teams consisting of physiotherapists, district nurses, occupational therapists, rehabilitation assistants, and nursing assistants. The goal is always to provide good and safe care where patients feel secure, involved, and well treated.

Home care in Gotland as a workplace is characterized by a good climate with high ceilings and satisfied employees, which is also reflected in our recurring good results in our employee surveys.

Your Responsibilities

The role of the occupational therapist in home care involves actively participating in care planning and carrying out rehabilitative interventions in our patients' ordinary homes – alternatively in short-term placements or special housing. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment, writing certificates, prescribing aids, and following up on occupational therapy interventions in the person's home.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist and have a B driver's license.

The work requires your personal ability to plan and prioritize your tasks, as well as having a pedagogical approach. Since we work in interdisciplinary teams, it is also important that you are good at collaborating and communicating with others. You need to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and have relevant IT skills for the position.
