Laboratory medicine in Dalarna consists of clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, and transfusion medicine, where we work across departments. The operation is county-wide with laboratories in Avesta, Borlänge, Falun, Ludvika, and Mora. Clinical microbiology is located in Falun, while clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine are available at all locations. We are currently looking for a summer substitute for the summer of 2025 for clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Avesta.

Summer Substitute Biomedical Analyst/ Nursing Assistant, Clinical Chemistry, Avesta

Job Responsibilities

In clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Avesta, there are processes for sampling, sample reception, hematology, coagulation, immunochemistry, general chemistry, bloodletting, and blood group serology. As a summer substitute, you will receive training in one or more of these areas. The summer will provide opportunities for shadowing in the other processes to gain a good overview of how the laboratory work functions.

Requirements

• Licensed biomedical analyst or ongoing education to become a biomedical analyst.
• Alternatively, trained nursing assistant with a focus on laboratory medicine or similar.
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

• Previous experience in laboratory medicine, biochemistry, or related fields.
• Experience in sample handling or laboratory work.
• Familiarity with working in journal systems or similar digital tools.
