We are now looking for a VA Navigator for our Environmental Department – a department characterized by commitment, expertise, and collaboration. As a VA Navigator, you will have a stimulating and varied role where you truly make a difference for both the environment and our residents.
The Environmental Department is part of Falu Municipality's Environmental and Community Planning Administration, which consists of about one hundred employees. Together, we work on exciting issues within urban planning, construction, traffic, operations and maintenance, environmental protection, and nature conservation. We are located in the Egnellska building in a modern office landscape.
With us, you will have the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging issues within the VA field. We also offer several attractive benefits, including annual working hours, the right to adjust your employment level, vacation exchange, and the possibility to work part of the time remotely.
Welcome with your application!
Job Responsibilities
As a VA Navigator, you will play a central role in advising property owners on individual sewage and drinking water solutions. You will inform about applicable regulations, guidelines, and how the application process for individual sewage systems works. A central part of the job is to support property owners in densely built areas in establishing joint VA solutions. You will also assist property owners in climate-adapting their VA supply, with a particular focus on managing risks such as water shortages, heavy rainfall, and changes in water quality.
You will be part of the municipality's cross-administrative VA group and play a key role in raising awareness about water sampling, maintenance, and protection of individual VA facilities. You will also participate in investigations of areas that may need to be connected to municipal VA. Additionally, you will collect valuable knowledge about water quality and property owners' interest in community solutions, which contributes to prioritizing VA expansion areas.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- University degree in civil engineering, VA, environment, or similar. Alternatively, you have other relevant education combined with experience from similar tasks.
- Good knowledge of individual sewage systems and drinking water
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish in both speech and writing

Personal Attributes
As a VA Navigator, you will have an independent role but also collaborate with a variety of stakeholders. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is attentive and accessible, with the ability to build trust by understanding and respecting different perspectives. As a skilled communicator and collaborative person, you motivate others to work towards common solutions.
By tailoring your message to the target audience, you make complex information easy to understand and relevant. You have a natural ability to handle changes and can quickly adapt when priorities and demands shift. Your structured work style allows you to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus. With your positive attitude and openness, you build long-term relationships, both internally and externally, and contribute to a climate of trust and collaboration.
We place special emphasis on personal suitability.
