Laboratory Medicine Dalarna (LmD) is an accredited operation with a region-wide laboratory organization, including Clinical Chemistry (CC), Clinical Transfusion Medicine (TM), and Clinical Microbiology (CM). Laboratory Medicine Dalarna has 155 employees, including 10 employees in clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Avesta. LmD is part of Health and Medical Care Dalarna, in the Medical Service Division.

The goal of the operation is to offer medical laboratory services with high quality and patient safety. The operations should be characterized by a risk-based approach where patient safety is always the focus.

Departments for clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine are located at the county hospitals in Avesta, Falun, Mora, Ludvika, and Borlänge.

Biomedical Scientist, Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine Avesta

Responsibilities

Within clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine in Avesta, the processes include sampling, sample reception, hematology, coagulation, immunochemistry, general chemistry, blood collection, and blood group serology.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed biomedical scientist.

We are an operation with high quality requirements. Therefore, we prefer that you are quality-conscious and accustomed to working according to established routines.

• good ability to collaborate and communicate with your colleagues, as well as a good attitude and understanding towards our customers
• work independently with clinical laboratory work
• proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• easy to adapt to changing circumstances and can quickly change perspectives and approaches, seeing opportunities in changes
• see the bigger picture and consider the larger perspective
• plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently
• set and meet deadlines
