We are now looking for a merit dentist and giving you the chance to become part of our team at the Pediatric Department in Falun. 

Specialist Dental Care Manhem is a county-wide operation for specialist dental care in the fields of endodontics, oral prosthetics, orthodontics, periodontology, and pedodontics. In the same building, there is also a dental laboratory.

At the clinic, over 50 people work - dental nurses, orthodontic assistants, dental hygienists, assistant dentists, merit dentists, and specialist dentists, as well as sterilization and reception staff.

The Pediatric Department receives referrals from general dental care and healthcare. In our department, we work with children and adolescents aged 0-19 years with various forms of disabilities, serious general illnesses, complicated dental trauma, dentoalveolar surgery, pronounced dental anxiety/treatment issues, more severe dental diseases, and dental development disorders.

We perform all forms of specialized pediatric dentistry with a long-term perspective and with the patient in focus.

At the Pediatric Department, we regularly perform treatments under sedation and anesthesia. We have observing dental care staff from general dental care and dental nurse students on internships. We supervise dental nurses, dental hygienists, and dentists from general dental care, conduct clinic visits, and organize courses for general dental care.

Job Responsibilities

As a merit dentist in pediatric dentistry in a 50% position, you will work with dental treatment under midazolam and nitrous oxide sedation, simpler investigations under the supervision of specialist dentists, emergency dental care during daytime for pediatric dentistry, and dental treatment under anesthesia.

Your duties will include literature review and seminars, as well as participation in the education we offer to general dental care.

Other duties will take place at a general dental clinic within Public Dental Care Dalarna.

Qualifications

You are a licensed dentist with at least two years of experience in general dental care, have training in sedation with midazolam and nitrous oxide, and have experience working with children and adolescents. You are interested in developing in your professional role related to pediatric dentistry, both clinically and pedagogically, and you find it easy to work in a team.

Completed diploma courses in pedodontics, previous service at a pediatric clinic, or experience working as a pediatric dentist in a public dental clinic are meritorious.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with others and sees themselves as a team player. You communicate with both colleagues and patients in a responsive and smooth manner and consider care and service as a natural part of your professional role. Furthermore, you are good at organizing and prioritizing work effectively.

You use Swedish in speech and writing. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
