Then you could be the dental hygienist we are looking for at the Pediatric Department in Falun, as our current dental hygienist is about to retire!

Specialist Dental Care Manhem is a county-wide operation for specialist dental care in the fields of endodontics, oral prosthetics, orthodontics, periodontology, and pedodontics. There is also a dental laboratory in the same building.

At the clinic, over 50 people work - dental nurses, orthodontic assistants, dental hygienists, assistant dentists, credentialing dentists, and specialist dentists, as well as sterilization and reception staff.

We receive referrals from general dentistry and healthcare. We perform all forms of specialized dental care with a long-term perspective and with the patient in focus. In our daily work, we meet children and adolescents with severe neuropsychiatric disorders, serious somatic illnesses, or atypical dental development.

In pedodontics, we regularly perform treatments under sedation and anesthesia. We have dental care staff who observe in the department, and we organize courses for general dentistry.

Dental Hygienist for the Pediatric Department in Falun

Job Responsibilities

As a dental hygienist in the pediatric department in Falun, you will work closely with our specialist dentists in regular therapy meetings and, if necessary, co-scheduled patients. You will independently examine patients, conduct training sessions, and perform preventive treatments.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed dental hygienist with previous experience working with pediatric dentistry. You are passionate about this patient group with special needs and are ready to work full-time with pediatric dentistry.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. We are looking for someone who is flexible and solution-oriented - used to working in a team and unpretentiously tackling the challenges you face.

You have good communication skills. In the role, outside of the clinical everyday life, you will participate with specialist dentists in teaching and supervision during clinic visits and participate in other training that the department is responsible for. Therefore, we see that you have experience or interest in teaching both in smaller and sometimes larger contexts.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
