Supported Living for Adults with Mental Health Issues
Pilbacken is a supported living facility for adults with mental health issues, where the work is clearly focused on comorbidity. The mission is to create safety, structure, and motivation in everyday life. We work based on qualified social psychiatric support with the individual at the center.
Relationship Skills and Collaboration
We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to connect with and collaborate with individuals with mental health issues, even when motivation or insight into their illness is limited. You work relationally, long-term, and structured, with respect for the individual's self-determination and integrity.
Comorbidity – Central Competence
Our supported living facility is aimed at individuals with complex needs. Knowledge of comorbidity is a fundamental requirement, and we particularly want you to have knowledge of – and preferably experience with – substance abuse and autism, in combination with mental health issues and psychiatric conditions.
You understand how these needs interact and can adapt your support in a professional, structured, and long-term manner, focusing on the individual's resources, participation, and self-determination.
Role in the Staff Group
You are a stable and responsible part of the staff group and actively contribute to a professional work environment. You take responsibility for the overall mission, share your expertise, and contribute to consensus, structure, and continuity in the work around the residents.
About the Employment
This is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period. The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts according to a schedule.
A criminal record check must be presented before employment. We need to ensure that you, as an applicant, have the right to work in Sweden. If you proceed in the process, we will request documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden.
Pilbacken supported living offers a stable workplace with a clear mission, experienced colleagues, and the opportunity to work long-term with individuals in need of qualified social psychiatric support.
We are looking for someone who
- has relevant education and/or experience in social psychiatry
- is confident in independent work and in collaboration with colleagues
- has good documentation and follow-up skills
- works professionally, respectfully, and with good judgment
We are a non-profit organization focused on support, care, education, and research. Not distributing any profit allows us to invest all resources into performing our mission as effectively as possible. Since 1905, activities within the Stiftelsen Stora Sköndal have developed, changed, and improved. Some activities remain, while others are entirely new. But one thing does not change: We still operate based on the conviction of the equal value of all people.
Every day, we aim to improve the lives of all the individuals we meet in our activities. Today, we have around 750 employees, both monthly and hourly, who work together towards our vision - a society with an obvious place for everyone. Our culture is permeated by our values - equality, care, and change.
