We are looking for someone who wants to work on a fixed schedule or as a substitute as needed in a safe and experienced assistance team for a woman with ALS. It is double assistance around the clock, and you will always work with a regular staff member. She lives in her own home with her daughter, and they have a shared cat and a dog. She has a tracheostomy, respirator, and PEG, which means you will be an important part of providing life-sustaining support, security, and care in everyday life.

🩺 About the assignment

As a personal assistant, you will help with:

• Breathing support via respirator and handling alarms.

• Tracheostomy care, including suctioning and daily maintenance.

• Feeding and care via PEG.

• Personal care, hygiene, and transfers.

• Support in daily routines and communication.

You will receive thorough introduction and training before you work independently but with support from regular staff.

💡 We are looking for someone who

• Has experience in personal assistance or work in healthcare and social care.

• Ideally has knowledge of respirator care, tracheostomy, or PEG, but the most important thing is that you are meticulous, secure, and willing to learn.

• Is attentive, calm, and respectful in your interactions.

• Has good teamwork skills and can take responsibility even in calm moments.

- Can speak and understand Swedish fluently.

- Is punctual and has a strong work ethic.

You have a calm and secure demeanor, are attentive to details, and can maintain focus even in stressful situations. You enjoy working closely with a person and create security through care, respect, and professionalism. No allergies as there is a dog and a cat in the home.

⏰ Working hours and extent

The work is done in 12-hour shifts, and we are looking for both day substitutes, night substitutes, and someone on a fixed daytime schedule.
