We are looking for an assistant for this wonderful young man! We need to strengthen our team around our client and are seeking someone who can work as needed on an hourly basis.

I am a cheerful 21-year-old who recently moved into my own apartment. I have a syndrome called 22q11 deletion syndrome and epilepsy, so I take a number of medications. I love everything that makes noise and moves, especially trucks, excavators, and trains. Other favorites include the washing machine and YouTube. I have my own car that is adapted for me, and since I do not drive myself, a driver's license is a requirement. I have a PEG tube in my stomach through which I receive food and my medications. I cannot eat anything by mouth, so my machine pumps in nutrition via the PEG. I need help with everything in daily life such as hygiene, clothing, food, and medications. My assistants also help me with mobility as I use a wheelchair. I love being outdoors and doing different activities.

Role and Experience of the Assistant

For this position, we are primarily looking for the right person! It is a plus if you have experience working with youth/children and insight into what EP and tube feeding are. Since the assistant needs to be able to assist Collin with mobility and go for walks, you need to be physically fit. However, the most important thing is how the interaction and assistance work with Collin and his family.

Most importantly, the chemistry between you and Collin must match!
