Your tasks

As a business developer responsible for investment and establishment promotion, you step right into the heart of Sweden's most exciting growth region. Linköping is in a historic phase of expansion where traditional industry meets tomorrow's technology. Your role is to be the bridge between the municipality and the business community – you ensure that expansions are made possible and that new establishments feel welcome.

The work is both strategic and operational. You act as a professional guide for companies that want to grow, while proactively working to attract new investments. You do this in close collaboration with colleagues within the municipal group as well as local and national partners.

In this role, you are expected to:

• Drive industry dialogues and projects that strengthen Linköping's competitiveness.
• Analyze market trends and transform them into concrete establishment offers.
• Staff and manage incoming cases in the municipality's business service.
• Additionally, you are expected to contribute to other common staff tasks by being an active part of a team driven to create results and a world-class business climate.

You will be part of the Business and Growth Department, an engaged team consisting of a director, unit manager, and seven other employees. Actively meeting, engaging in dialogue, and maintaining good relationships with the broad business community and our partners, from local to international, is crucial for our development work.

Who you are

We are looking for a business-oriented and relationship-driven strategist with a sense for market needs and trends. To succeed, you need to have a deep understanding of the business conditions combined with the ability to navigate in a politically governed organization. We see that you have a relevant post-secondary education in areas such as urban planning, economics, real estate market, or equivalent. Previous experience in project management is required, preferably within the real estate or urban planning sector. Experience in place marketing, market analysis, conducting fairs and events related to the assignment, and working with international relations is considered an advantage.

Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required as the role involves contacts both nationally and internationally.
