Description

The school social team is a cross-departmental team that, through collaboration between individual and family care and student health, aims to increase school attendance and promote students' health and results.

As part of the student health team, you report to the head of student health, but in your work in the borderland between individual and family care and primary school, the social manager and school principals are also important collaborators.

Since our school social team is completely new, we would like you to participate in leading and developing the team's work. You will have resources available among the social workers in individual and family care as well as in student health with its nurse, counselor, special educators, and psychologist. Your task is to identify issues and initiate promoting and preventive measures that can help students, primarily those with problematic school absenteeism, at an early stage. Collaboration will be a key factor, and the school social team will, for example, coordinate the support that the student receives from various actors, offer supportive measures in different forms, support and guide guardians, provide advice to social workers and school staff, and work operationally in primary schools.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who

• has a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems relevant
• has knowledge of social services work with children, youth, and families
• has knowledge of the school's operations, teaching, and student health
• has a genuine interest and commitment to youth
• has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written

We believe it is important that you

• can work in a structured and systematic way and are skilled at documenting
• have leadership qualities and the ability to create new working methods together with others
• create and develop relationships within and between organizations, and with students and their guardians
• are confident as a supervisor and have the ability to adapt perspectives and see opportunities

Duration of 12 months with the possibility of extension

The project initially runs for 12 months but may be extended for additional years.
