Adult Psychiatry Kristianstad offers specialized psychiatric care in northeastern and southeastern municipalities of Skåne and consists of approximately 390 employees. The geographical spread is large, but despite this, our operations are characterized by proximity and short decision-making paths. The organization values high clinical competence, good working environment, and high participation.

You will be employed in the Kristianstad area, based at the Eating Disorder Clinic. At the clinic, we are ten employees with different competencies, including junior doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, physiotherapists, dietitians, caregivers, and medical secretaries.

On June 1, 2023, our eating disorder team moved from Hässleholm to Kristianstad and became a separate unit in new, fresh premises.

Our development work is ongoing, and we have good conditions to develop eating disorder care with the support of care processes and in close collaboration with other units to create patient-centered, accessible, and evidence-based care for our patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to our Eating Disorder Clinic in Kristianstad. There is an opportunity to combine your work with us with other units within our area of operations based on your areas of interest.

In the role of specialist doctor at the Eating Disorder Clinic, your main responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients based on current research and proven experience. With us, you will often encounter complex care processes where your expertise provides significant opportunities to make a difference for the patient alongside the team you are part of.

In the team, we complement and enrich each other with our different competencies and experiences. Together, we ensure that patients receive the treatment and support needed to live as independently and functionally as possible, based on their own conditions and needs. At all units, including the Eating Disorder Clinic, we work according to standardized care processes, and an important part of the work is collaboration with municipalities and other care partners, such as Ward 5 in Lund and the general psychiatric ward in Kristianstad in cases where the patient has an eating disorder issue.

As a doctor with us, you will have great opportunities to develop the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We constantly strive to improve and develop our operations, where we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed physician authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare with specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Additionally, we would like you to have experience working in adult psychiatry.

You also have a desire to develop yourself, your coworkers, and the organization. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and a strong ability to plan and structure both your work and that of the unit. You have a good ability to work within established frameworks and guidelines and always have the patient's best interests in focus. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.
