We are now looking for you as a nursing assistant

who wants to help shape a new team for Intensive Home Rehabilitation in Uppsala! Become part of an organization where your care skills make a real difference.

In this team, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists work together to strengthen people's independence in their daily lives. Here, you will work closely around each patient, where your different competencies complement each other and form the foundation for safe, effective, and person-centered rehabilitation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction from the start and be part of shaping the future ways of working.

Your tasks

You will be involved in developing working methods, routines, and team culture in a new operation – with the opportunity to make a real difference by contributing daily to the user's rehabilitation, safety, and independence. You will work closely with both the user and the team, where your competence and commitment are an important part of the effort. The role involves independent work in the home, while also having close collaboration with licensed colleagues.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • supporting the user in rehabilitative efforts on behalf of licensed personnel
  • personal care and service efforts that make a difference in the user's daily life
  • performing delegated health and medical tasks and documenting according to the Social Services Act and applicable routines

You will work weekdays between 07:00 and 16:00.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. To succeed in the role, you need to be meticulous in documenting, following up your work, and being confident in receiving delegations in medicine and training.

Requirements:

  • Nursing assistant education with a protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • Good knowledge of the operational system Lifecare
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good knowledge of documentation
  • You should be able to cycle in all weather

Meritorious:

  • Specialist nursing assistant education
  • Experience working in home care
  • Driver's license B

Personal competencies

To build this new team, we are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues and independently taking responsibility for their efforts. You adapt easily to changes and see opportunities when circumstances shift. You work goal- and result-oriented and have a structured approach where you plan, communicate, and follow up your tasks clearly.

At the same time, you are attentive and have good collaboration skills, you build trust, contribute to good relationships, and can handle discussions and differences constructively. You are development-oriented and motivated to test new ways of working, drive improvements, and contribute to creating a modern, person-centered, and sustainable home rehabilitation.

Other

The position is a fixed-term employment that extends until the end of the year, as the investment in Intensive Home Rehabilitation is evaluated as part of the municipality's development work.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title nursing assistant, you need to provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. Those who have nursing assistant education but lack proof or certificate can, during a transition period, receive the title care assistant.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after a check according to the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve a war placement.
