We work with support and care for the elderly and for people with disabilities. The goal is for them to live as active and independent lives as possible.
The Care and Social Services Administration is one of Sweden's largest employers in municipal care and social services. Here, approximately 7,500 employees work based on our core values – making a difference, working together, and welcoming innovation. We offer great opportunities to take responsibility, develop, and contribute with your expertise. We strive for an organizational culture based on trust and pride in our work.

Within the Care and Social Services Administration, full-time work is the norm. This means that all permanent employees essentially have a full-time position. More information about what this means for this position will be provided during a possible interview. Personal assistants are exempt from the full-time norm.
We are now looking for you who want to help shape a new team for Intensive Home Rehabilitation in Uppsala!
In this team, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists work together to strengthen people's independence in their daily lives. You will work closely with each patient, where your different competencies complement each other and form the basis for safe, effective, and person-centered rehabilitation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction from the start and be part of shaping future working methods.
Your Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference by contributing your expertise, knowledge, and commitment with the user at the center. You will be an important part of the team's collective work around the user and will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.
Your role includes, among other things:
- making your own assessments of ADL, mobility, and the need for assistive devices
- evaluating treatment results and adjusting interventions as needed
- supervising nursing staff in rehabilitative working methods
- participating in team collaboration around users, including fall risk assessments and work in Senior Alert
You will be involved in shaping working methods, routines, and team culture in a completely new operation, an opportunity to create something sustainable and long-lasting from the ground up.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
- are a licensed occupational therapist
- have experience working with operational systems and are quick to learn new digital tools
- have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- have a B driver's license
Meritorious
- experience working with elderly people and age-related diseases
Personal Competencies
We are looking for someone who easily adapts to change and sees opportunities when circumstances shift. You work goal- and results-oriented and plan, prioritize, and follow up your work with clarity and structure.
You have good collaboration skills and are attentive in your interactions with both colleagues and users. You build trusting relationships, communicate respectfully, and handle differences and discussions constructively.
You are development-oriented, curious about new working methods, and actively contribute to driving improvements. You are motivated to be part of a team that creates a modern, person-centered, and sustainable home rehabilitation.
Other Information
The position extends until the end of the year, as the initiative for Intensive Home Rehabilitation will be evaluated as part of the municipality's development work.
