Sjöbo Municipality will strengthen its work with IT and digitalization in 2026 with a project-employed Information Security Coordinator at 100%.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop while helping to shape a modern, secure, and sustainable digital municipality. As the Information Security Coordinator in Sjöbo Municipality, you will coordinate, develop, and follow up on the municipality's work with information security in accordance with applicable legislation.

In the development department, both the municipality's IT strategist and Digitalization strategist work together with the Information Security Coordinator to create a safe and secure information and IT environment in the municipality. The work is carried out in close collaboration with our municipal IT company Unikom and other owner municipalities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

About the role

The municipality is in an exciting stage characterized by development where the municipality's work and future IT issues are being shaped.

As an Information Security Coordinator, you have overall responsibility for leading, driving, coordinating, and developing the municipality's information security work. You work closely with the municipality's administrations, management, and other key functions to ensure that information security is a natural and integrated part of the municipality's governance, processes, and digital development.

The role spans strategic, tactical, and operational perspectives. You contribute to long-term governance and structure while conveying knowledge and support to all of the municipality's administrations and operations.

Your assignment also includes representing the municipality in our joint Cybersecurity Forum, which we have together with other owner municipalities and our municipal IT company Unikom. Here, you contribute to the development of common working methods and initiatives, experience exchange, and coordination within cybersecurity and information security. The goal of our joint collaboration is to achieve a secure and robust digital environment.

Tasks

Your role includes, among other things:

• Leading and coordinating the municipality's information security work
• Developing and managing governing documents, working methods, and processes
• Supporting administrations and operations in their information security work
• Ensuring that information security is considered in development and change initiatives as well as system management
• Following up on compliance and contributing to a systematic improvement process
• Collaborating with the municipal IT company Unikom and other owner municipalities in the joint Cybersecurity Forum
• Monitoring the external environment in information and cybersecurity

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• Documented competence in information security
• The ability to create engagement and understanding of information security in practice
• Experience working with information security in organizations
• The ability to work both strategically and operationally
• Good communication skills and experience collaborating with various operations and roles

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from the public sector or municipal operations
• Knowledge of NIS2, the Cybersecurity Act, and systematic security work
• Experience with GRC-related work
• Experience with continuity-related work
• Familiarity with or work according to the ISO/IEC 27000 series
