There is now an exciting opportunity for you as a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician to work at the Hospital Pharmacy in Eskilstuna – a job that makes a real difference for patients and gives you the chance to develop in more areas of our operations!

Region Sömland will take over the pharmaceutical supply on its own from May 1, 2026. We need to recruit replacements and are therefore looking for two individuals, pharmacists or pharmacy technicians, preferably with compounding competence. The individuals we are looking for need to have a strong interest in pharmaceutical supply within hospitals.

The Pharmaceutical Center has an overarching responsibility for pharmaceutical issues within the region and will consist of three units from May 1: the Hospital Pharmacy, Clinical Pharmacy, and a staff function. In total, we will be about 60 people, half of whom will be at the Hospital Pharmacy. Some of the Hospital Pharmacy's employees are located at the hospital in Nyköping.

Your Responsibilities

We are now looking for two colleagues who have a strong interest in helping customers and delivering products and services of high quality. The tasks may vary based on experience and interest. At the Hospital Pharmacy, orders are prepared for all hospitals in Sömland. The pharmacists at the Hospital Pharmacy also order medications for healthcare units and perform other pharmaceutical services in the field. Additionally, there is a cytostatics and a sterile preparation unit, where the majority of the Hospital Pharmacy's pharmacists work part of their time. The Hospital Pharmacy has a brand new sterile room that will be put into use in the spring of 2026. The new facility offers great opportunities to develop and expand the sterile preparation operations based on the needs of healthcare.

You will be part of a team with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants who have a good community and tackle new challenges together. We will develop the services of the Hospital Pharmacy to meet the needs of healthcare.

Our working hours vary between approximately 7 AM and 4:30 PM, weekdays. If you are a preparer, on-call duty is also included.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician, preferably with extemporaneous authorization. You have a genuine interest in pharmaceutical supply issues. For those of you who are licensed pharmacy technicians but lack extemporaneous authorization, we will offer a course in extemporaneous drug manufacturing. The course is worth 7.5 credits and will provide full extemporaneous authorization.

You are service-oriented and have a broad perspective on issues, enjoy analyzing and solving problems, and want to work with continuous improvements. Collaboration with others is very important. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Regardless of experience, you will receive a good introduction.

Job Requirements

• Licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician.

Meritorious for the Position:

• Experience in pharmaceutical supply
• Formal compounding competence
• Experience in pharmaceutical preparation.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement.
