About Us

The Psychiatric Reception in Strängnäs is a specialist outpatient psychiatric clinic for the population of Strängnäs municipality. We belong to the psychiatric clinic at Mälarsjukhuset. The reception is located about 10 minutes from Strängnäs travel center.

Approximately 28 dedicated employees work at the reception - doctors, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, caregivers, social workers, and secretaries. The reception has a broad patient group; we treat ADHD, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders. The reception is characterized by a wide range of competencies, a good working environment, flexibility, close teamwork, and the opportunity to actively participate in development work.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse with us, you have a central role, working closely with patients and being an important part of the team. Your responsibilities are varied and include:

• Nursing assessments and care planning.
• Telephone counseling and support contacts.
• Medication management, injections, and medication adjustments.
• Caring conversations and collaboration with healthcare neighbors and the municipality.
• Home visits, group treatments, and educational initiatives for patients and relatives.
• Administrative tasks related to patient care.
• We work with individual care plans to increase patient participation and have regular evaluations and treatment conferences to shorten decision-making paths.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse with experience in psychiatric care (preferably with further education in psychiatry).
• Is confident, structured, responsible, and enjoys working in a team.
• Has a professional approach and a holistic view of the individual.
• Is curious, unpretentious, and values different perspectives.
