Engaged Nursing Assistants Wanted for Home Care

The home care service has about 130 employees who contribute to many customers' daily lives through municipal home care. We work to enable individuals to live independently based on their own circumstances. The assignments in home care are characterized by providing care and service of the highest quality.

We are now looking for two engaged nursing assistants who want to work with us!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Common tasks in home care include encouraging, supporting, and motivating regarding personal hygiene, care, meals, and activities. We start from the user's needs and wishes. The goal is to enable the elderly to live in their homes for as long as they wish, with a sense of security and quality. We work according to the Individual's Needs in Focus (IBIC). The work includes maintaining good communication with care recipients and their relatives, as well as documenting according to social services guidelines via computer and handling delegated health care tasks.

In our home care facility, there is also maintenance of common areas, laundry rooms, and staff rooms. Your responsibilities as an employee include following both municipal governing documents and the unit's routines and given instructions for employment and daily work. This means, for example, following basic hygiene routines, using aids and medical technical products, and applying ergonomic working methods. In ordinary housing, we work with a fixed care contact, which means that with a permanent employment, you have a special responsibility towards one or more users.

In ordinary housing, new working methods and digitalization are constantly being implemented to meet societal needs. You will work with a mobile phone as a work tool and document in the Treserva system. With us, you will work both independently and together with your colleagues. Working hours vary and can be during the day, evening, and weekends. We use both cars and bicycles as means of transport, which are provided by the employer. We are also responsible for responding to alarms in the area.

If you work in home care, you need to be prepared for pets to be present in our users' homes. The home care facilities are located at Helheten on Markörvägen in Strängnäs, near the Travel Center. The work with our users is in the outskirts of Strängnäs city and in the countryside.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• a valid professional license as a nursing assistant.
• good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• good computer skills.
• a B driver's license (as you may need to drive our alarm vehicle).

It is an advantage if you have:

• knowledge of and/or experience working with a focus on mental health, dementia, and palliative care.
• previous experience working in elderly care.
