About Us

Since 2016, Region Sörmland has had a well-regarded PTP program. You will have your main placement and supervisor within a department and gain insight and knowledge about other departments through study visits and presentations. You will participate with other PTP psychologists in an introductory day and then regular seminars and lectures, as well as a 5-day assessment training. The study director is responsible for the structure and ongoing evaluation of the PTP program and is available for discussions, advice, and support.

The three main locations of Region Sörmland are Eskilstuna, Nyköping, and Katrineholm, with clinics also in smaller towns. PTP positions will be offered in Katrineholm and Nyköping during this recruitment round. These locations are within about 1 hour's commuting distance from Stockholm. Training days for the PTP program will be held in different locations, and you will need to be able to travel to another location than your workplace for these days.

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Nyköping

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Nyköping is a specialist care clinic targeting children aged 0-17 years with moderate to severe mental health issues. Here, you will work in a team conducting assessments, evaluations, and various psychological treatments, both individually and in groups. As part of other psychological work, we can also offer to plan, implement, and evaluate a group intervention.

Health Center Nävertorp, Katrineholm

Our psychosocial team consists of 3 psychologists, where one psychologist works with I-CBT remotely, and the other 2 are based at the health center. There is close collaboration with other professional categories at the health center. Here, you will work with individuals who have mild to moderate mental health issues. After an initial assessment, you will then work with psychological counseling and treatment, both individually and in groups.

Health Center Åsidan, Nyköping:

Our psychosocial team consists of 1 psychologist, 2 psychotherapists, and 1 social worker. We collaborate in teamwork with other professional categories at the health center. Here, you will work with individuals who have mild to moderate mental health issues. After an initial assessment, you will then work with psychological counseling and treatment, both individually and in groups. You will also have the opportunity to work with I-CBT and digital visits.

Your Responsibilities

The work at the above workplaces involves working in interdisciplinary environments where you, as a psychologist, have a central role. In addition to the above tasks, the following may also be included in your duties:

• Consultative work and, in some departments, supervision of staff groups.
• Operational and method development work.
• Support, advice, and knowledge dissemination.
• Collaboration with both external and internal actors.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a psychology degree or who will obtain it by the spring term of 2026. You should be curious about new knowledge, eager to actively develop your professional skills, and grow in your professional role. Experience in healthcare and social services is an advantage.

You should have the ability to work independently. Since teamwork is an important part of all operations, you should also be willing and able to work with others. You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. Knowledge of multiple languages is valuable. We welcome applicants from diverse cultures and backgrounds. A driver's license (B) is required in some departments.

We would like you to be interested in working in Region Sörmland in the future and that you have ties to the local area. The region's STP study director is available for support if you have thoughts about future specialization. This recruitment follows the region's competency model for recruitment. Employment Type

Fixed-term employment, one year full-time. Start date 2026-09-01, or by agreement.
