There is a lot happening in our organization. You will be an important player in the ongoing work to develop and shape nutrition routines, nutrition assessments, and nutrition treatments, collaborate with and educate healthcare colleagues, be a key and essential part of teamwork in each ward/clinic, participate in rounds, and provide support in nutrition issues to doctors and other healthcare professionals. Development work is constantly ongoing in the organization, which we would be happy to tell you more about during an interview.

We are looking for two dietitians who want to be part of a curious, forward-thinking dietitian group with a high ceiling. We welcome both experienced and newly graduated dietitians.

About us

Primary care and specialist care dietitians in Sörmland are organized in a dietitian organization that belongs to the regional clinic Paramedicine Sörmland. Paramedicine consists of approximately 290 employees, of which about 45 are dietitians. We work to ensure that patients receive good care and the best possible nutrition treatment, working from a clear order of priority.

You will have your treatment room at the dietitian clinic together with 10 dietitian colleagues in specialist care at Nyköping Hospital. We are a mixed dietitian group with men and women of different ages and various experiences/backgrounds and competencies. We share a manager and clinic with our social worker colleagues. You will have close collaboration with all dietitians in the region's primary and specialist care, totaling about 45 dietitian colleagues. There is always someone available to discuss with, both within and outside your treatment/diagnosis area, and we have a clear and functioning close collaboration with each other.

The primary care unit and the specialist care units, totaling three units, each have their own dietitian manager with close collaboration, which makes us a strong dietitian organization. This means the opportunity to change your assignment over time.

Your tasks

We are looking for two dietitians (one permanent position and one parental leave cover until 2027-05-31). The areas we are seeking new colleagues in are:

Medical Department

In our two medical departments, patients with various medical conditions such as heart failure, COPD exacerbation, and liver disease are cared for. The dietitian is primarily involved in the investigation and treatment of disease-related malnutrition and the initiation of tube feeding. The dietitian works closely with the team regarding patients and is an important competence in nutrition issues both on the ward and before discharge.

Palliative Department and Specialized Home Care (SSIH)

The dietitian works closely with the SSIH team and conducts regular follow-ups of palliative patients. The dietitian's assignment is carried out both in the palliative department and in extended inpatient care at home. During home visits, we often meet patients and relatives together with other healthcare professionals.

Nephrology

The dietitian works in a team with other healthcare professionals and meets patients in need of nutritional advice in connection with pre-dialysis and dialysis treatment.

Your competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed dietitian, who is happy to share your knowledge and receive knowledge from your colleagues. Working with patients is independent, so we expect you to feel confident in planning and structuring your work on your own initiative. Alongside your own planning, we sometimes need to support each other and take patients in different areas so that we all can have a good day both at work and after work.
