About us

We are a specialist resource within Region Sörmland based on specific knowledge of permanent disabilities and their consequences in everyday life. Habilitation is a complement to other healthcare services. Our mission is to investigate and provide habilitative interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with permanent disabilities such as mobility impairments, multiple disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders.

We work from a unified clinic in multiprofessional teams divided into child, youth, and adult teams. The habilitation clinic in Eskilstuna is located in renovated premises in a nice environment next to Odlarskogen. We belong to the division of psychiatry and disabilities.

During your temporary position with us, you will receive support and assistance from experienced colleagues in your work tasks.

Your tasks

We offer you a fun, stimulating, and developing job both individually and in a team consisting of several different professions.

We provide interventions individually or in groups, at our clinic or in the individual's everyday environments. The interventions are aimed at both the patient, relatives, and in collaboration with the network. Since you will be an important cog in the interdisciplinary team, it is important that you enjoy working with others and believe that the best results are achieved together. Together with the others in the team, you will establish habilitation plans and carry out habilitative interventions. The professions meet regularly at regional professional meetings to discuss and collaborate on profession-specific issues. Professional coordinators are available within the organization as support.

General description of the profession's tasks

• Investigate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on needs in: gross motor function level, positioning, movement, pain, breathing, and circulation.
• Information, advice, and support to patients, families, and networks.
• Pre- and postoperative assessment/action.
• Assessment and prescription of movement technical/medical and orthopedic technical aids.
• Lead group activities such as pool therapy or other motor skills groups.
• Act as a consultant to other activities within the municipality and the region.

Your competence

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist. Experience working in the field is an advantage, as well as knowledge of the habilitation target group. A valid driver's license (B) is required.

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to work together in a team and collaborate with other actors.

Employment form

Temporary employment with start date according to agreement.
