The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the preschool committee and the primary school committee. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important mission is to provide all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a safe educational environment. Here, all our employees play an important role in the implementation.

The Sjödalens preschool area, which consists of 8 preschools, is now looking for Finnish and Swedish-speaking substitute teachers who can come and work with us during the absence of other staff. Being a substitute teacher with us means that you will be contacted, often late afternoon or early morning, with a question about whether you can work for a regular staff member who is absent.

Since we have 8 preschools, it may be possible that you receive calls for substitutes from any of our preschools where Finnish is not required.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Providing support and care for children throughout the day.
• Contributing to the team's work with teaching and other activities.
• Assisting with routines around meals, dressing and undressing, preparing the dining room/sections, etc.
• Being active with the children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Reading books, playing games, and conversing with children in Finnish.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with a high school education, and it is an advantage if you have a childcare education.

A requirement for this position is that you can speak and read Finnish.

It is important that you have a good ability to build good relationships with children and adults. You need to be responsive to the needs of the children and the organization. It is important that you embrace the preschool's working methods, perspectives, and methods.

Working in a preschool places high demands on the ability to collaborate with colleagues as you work together in teams, and sometimes the collaboration extends across the entire preschool. Another group that is very important to collaborate with is the guardians.

We would like you to have experience working with children.
