Your Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our team at Blandaren!

As a care assistant in home care, you will have planned tasks that include personal hygiene, household chores, and medical interventions. This can range from morning assistance in the form of serving breakfast or showering to administering medication and going for walks. The content and scope of the interventions vary and are based on each individual, which is why we also follow the working method of Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC).

We have chosen to work in teams where both nursing assistants and care assistants are included, which means you will support each other in the role of contact person. The role involves participating in welcome conversations, where you plan support measures together with the individual. You are responsible for implementation plans and document in the Treserva system. The role also includes maintaining close contact with relatives and other partners.

Your Workplace

Blandaren's home care and sheltered housing are centrally located, just a few minutes from Linköping's travel center. Here, 30 nursing assistants and care assistants work alongside home care nurses. We have 38 apartments for sheltered housing and also provide home care in the central city area. We work in three teams: one indoor team that works with our residents in sheltered housing and two outdoor teams.

With us, continuity is very important, which is why we schedule several interventions for the same individual during the day in a loop. This enables a closer relationship with the individual as well as better conditions for noticing changes in health status.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has a recognized upper secondary education and experience working in care and support. We also consider it an advantage if you have worked with individuals with dementia. Experience with low-arousal responses and a salutogenic approach is also seen as a merit.

Work in elderly care involves a lot of customer contact and documentation, which means we require you to communicate verbally and in writing in Swedish. You should be able to use digital tools in your work, and it is advantageous if you have experience documenting in journal systems. For this position, you need to be able to cycle.

As a person, you are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks and drive your work forward. You also work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. It is also important that you have an empathetic ability that allows you to understand others' perspectives and situations.
