The Lillgård School Foundation is an independent F-6 school without profit interests, consisting of approximately 200 students, 35 employees, and four after-school departments.

One of our hallmarks since the school's inception in 1993 is that we work weekly with a Bifrost-inspired, age-integrated, and interdisciplinary theme that spans an entire academic year. We also have an extended schedule in music and offer all our students the opportunity to participate in our school choir.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. We prefer that you have previous experience working as a school nurse.

As a school nurse at Lillgård School, you will have an independent role that requires you to plan and organize your work in a structured manner. You have a professional demeanor and are good at meeting and communicating with children and guardians. You will collaborate with other staff, the student health team, school doctors, etc., which requires that you thrive in a role where unpretentious cooperation is central.

A police background check is required for employment.

Job Description

As a school nurse, you work together with the school's student health team to support students in achieving their educational goals. You also collaborate with other staff, guardians, and other organizations and authorities outside the school.

In your role as a school nurse, you will conduct individual health checks, perform vaccinations, and have open consultations. You play an important role in preventive and health-promoting work at the individual/group and organizational level concerning mental and social health. You are the medical management responsible at Lillgård School, responsible for patient safety and quality work within the student health's medical efforts.

The work is conducted according to the national guidelines set by the National Board of Health and Welfare and the local guidelines decided by Linköping Municipality. Lillgård School has an agreement with the Education Administration, the Medical Services of Student Health, Linköping Municipality. The agreement includes, among other things, medical management and coordination functions for school nurses.
