Where we are

The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with both breadth and depth. We are located in the newly built Tinnerbäckshuset on the hospital grounds as well as in the Garnisons area. The clinic consists of an emergency unit, inpatient care, detoxification unit (TNE), and two mobile services: our mobile outpatient team (MÖT) and PAM – Psychiatric Ambulance.

Job Description

Your future work – meaningful, varied, and educational

With us, you work at the forefront of psychiatric care – acute, mobile, and close. We offer:

• Psychiatric Emergency Unit - You will be the team leader with caregivers and doctors. The emergency unit is staffed around the clock. We work with triage from an acute psychiatric perspective with a varied patient flow. Right now, we are in a process of improvement where we can staff the unit with nurses for the first time in a long time, so a large part of your focus as an applicant will be to be part of that process and help with the development work. Examples include user influence, triage, and various types of training. Collaboration is also a central part of the work where we communicate assessments/decisions to care neighbors, police, ambulance, municipality, MÖT, and PAM.
• PAM – “Psychiatric Ambulance” – The Psychiatric Ambulance is a newly started service since October 2022. The ambulance operates from the psychiatric emergency unit every day of the week between 4:00 PM and 2:00 AM. Geographically, we cover the central and eastern districts. Each shift is staffed by two nurses or one nurse and one caregiver. Assignments come from SOS Alarm, and collaboration with ambulance, police, and rescue services occurs regularly on assignments. New for 2026 is a project that also includes children and adolescents in the assignment, with dual PAM units operating daily. The project includes covering the western part of the county. A unique role where you meet patients in their home environment. You work closely with SOS, ambulance, police, rescue services, and primary care, making psychiatric assessments directly on-site.
• MÖT – Mobile Outpatient Team – follows up with patients after care contacts or discharge. We follow the patient for a short period (1-3 visits) after visits to the emergency unit, PAM unit, discharge from inpatient care, or deterioration in outpatient care. Here, you work independently with your own assessments in teams in the patient's home, similar to other units. The team consists of one nurse and one caregiver. MÖT is active Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

About You

We are looking for you who:

• Are a specialist nurse in psychiatry or a licensed nurse with solid and extensive experience in psychiatry. The work can be demanding at times and requires independent assessments, which means that experience and education are taken into careful consideration.
• Appreciate flexibility in work and enjoy working creatively and independently. You are driven by and value working person-centered and see the patient's needs and resources.
• Thrive on variation, personal responsibility, and teamwork.
• Want to work closely with patients focusing on participation, reception, and safety, and with a focus on the patient's resources and strengths.
