Job Description

The work involves both individual contacts and multi-professional team interventions. The occupational therapist's focus at Habiliteringen is to enable people to manage their daily activities. Tasks include assessment and treatment of patients with mobility and/or intellectual disabilities. Your work will involve mapping and assessing activity ability. Interventions may include compensatory measures, training, and adaptations in daily life.

We work in two teams: a children's team and an adult team. The teams consist of several different professions working in close collaboration. Our target group is children and adults with permanent mobility impairments and intellectual disabilities. We work together based on the individual's needs to promote independence and quality of life.

An important part of the work is collaboration with other authorities and healthcare providers, as well as sharing responsibility with the team for group activities. Since the organization continuously works on methodological and development issues, you are expected to actively participate in this work.

About You

We expect you to have experience working with children and young people with disabilities. Your basic profession is a licensed occupational therapist with competence regarding the target group of children, young people with disabilities, and their families/networks. Experience working within rehabilitation and/or with people with disabilities is an asset.

We are looking for someone who has a good ability to work independently and the ability to collaborate with other professions and healthcare neighbors. This requires that you are engaged, flexible, proactive, and thrive in a dynamic and development-oriented environment. You are a good communicator and possess the ability to both listen to others and express yourself in a constructive manner.
