Do you want to work in an environment where you can follow patients' progress during their care and value working in a team? Then you should apply to us! We have an open and inviting culture, and our teamwork is characterized by great engagement – we support, help, and learn from each other.

Our Offer

Within the field of pain and rehabilitation medicine, our clinic conducts specialized team-based assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for individuals with spinal cord injuries, acquired brain injuries, complex pain, fatigue, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

The clinic's inpatient department primarily receives patients with acquired brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Patients often arrive in an early phase after acute illness or injury to begin their primary rehabilitation, but they also come in a later phase for secondary rehabilitation. We also provide intermediate care for patients requiring monitoring, respiratory care, and rehabilitation. Our inpatient department has 12 beds divided into two care teams. We are a resource unit for the Southeast Health Care Region and maintain close collaboration with other activities relevant to patients' care and rehabilitation. Interprofessional teamwork, where the patient, relatives, and relevant professions jointly formulate goals for current rehabilitation, permeates our working methods. We have adapted facilities to stimulate and challenge patients; for example, a training session can be conducted in our gym or combined with time outdoors on our fantastic terrace! The clinic is a university hospital unit proud of its expertise in neurology, pain, and rehabilitation. Research, teaching, and development constitute a significant part of the clinic's work.

Here you can read about our career path for nurses and about your benefits with us.

Job Description

You will work with neurological rehabilitation in inpatient care together with assistant nurses, rehabilitation assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, rehabilitation instructors, and doctors. You will collaborate with the interprofessional team daily.

In our inpatient care, patients are usually in a stable medical phase but still require inpatient care and rehabilitation. In addition to standard nursing duties, you will work with rehabilitative nursing care. In the care team, you as a nurse will collaborate with several assistant nurses because our patients need time and opportunities to practice various aspects of nursing situations, and they often have significant care needs.

Since patients' stay is one or several months, there are usually good conditions for planning and structuring workdays. As a nurse with us, you should have time and conditions for close collaboration with patients and the team. You are expected to actively drive the patients' rehabilitation process forward together with other professions, which includes, for example, discharge planning and participating in goal planning with the patient, relatives, and team. We place great importance on openness and discussion within the care team and the team to achieve the best possible rehabilitation for our patients.

Work Group

There are 26 nurses working at the clinic, of which 15 are in inpatient care. We have a stable nursing group with low staff turnover. We are now looking for two nurses because one colleague is moving to another location and one has chosen to further develop through studies and research.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse or in the final term of the nursing program. Experience in urotherapy is an asset. You have an interest in neurological rehabilitation and enjoy working in a team. As a person, you are approachable, listen, and communicate constructively. You see opportunities and strive to find solutions. You have a good ability to adapt to changes and are meticulous, planning and organizing your work efficiently.

We welcome both new and experienced nurses! As a newly graduated nurse with us, you will have time and the opportunity to grow into your new role. We have specialist nurses in clinical service as well as several experienced colleagues. If you are a more experienced nurse, there are several paths for further development, and we are keen to make use of your previous experiences and knowledge in various areas of responsibility. You will be assigned an introduction mentor to be introduced and developed in your work.
