The Psychiatric Clinic in Linköping is a university clinic with many different activities. The clinic consists of outpatient and inpatient care, a detoxification unit, and an emergency unit. In addition, we have mobile operations; the mobile outpatient team and pre-hospital acute psychiatric mobility (psychiatric ambulance). You will find our operations in the newly built Tinnerbäckshuset on the hospital campus.

We are now looking for a nurse for our inpatient department s-81 with a focus on affective disorders, planned and acute eating disorder care, planned admissions, and SI - Self-Selected Admission.

Care times on our department vary, meaning the work consists of everything from emergency care to planned admissions. Patients primarily have psychiatric problems, but somatic comorbidity is common, making medical-technical tasks part of the daily work.

Job Description

As a nurse, you have a central and leading role on the department, where you are responsible for daily tasks and leading nursing care. In addition to main tasks such as medication management, participation in rounds, reporting, and social planning in collaboration with external actors, a large part of the work focuses on supporting and working closely with the patient regarding their individual nursing needs.

The work is creative; we work closely with the patient and start from their resources and skills. For a few years now, we have worked based on a recovery-oriented approach, and we see how care has moved from a more traditional approach to being driven by an increasingly flexible and person-centered care where the patient's experience and needs are always our starting point. This, in turn, makes the daily work more meaningful and developmental.

With us, you become part of an interdisciplinary and highly engaged team where, as a nurse, you have close collaboration with doctors, nurses, counselors, and occupational therapists.

For development both in daily life and in the long term, we have several forums for reflection, profession-specific meetings, supervision, but also daily debriefing after the end of the work shift.

As a nurse, there are many opportunities to develop and build a career within the clinic. As an employee, you are offered both internal and external training. As a nurse, you have the opportunity through the employer to receive paid further education to become a specialist nurse in psychiatry, with an extra salary supplement after completing the education.

As a new nurse, you are offered a personally adapted introduction and mentorship by an experienced nurse as long as the need exists. We offer present leadership, and you will have support from the immediate manager who is easily accessible within the department.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. Experience of psychiatric care and/or a specialist nurse degree is considered meritorious, but we also encourage you without psychiatric experience to apply. With the right curiosity and a will to do the best for the patient, you will develop and learn together with us!
