Our Offer

The Heart Center in Östergötland is a county-wide center for specialized cardiovascular care. The center covers the specialties of cardiology/HIA, clinical physiology/nuclear medicine, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, and thoracic anesthesia/intensive care. The activities form a natural care chain. The Thoracic and Vascular Clinic, which is part of the Heart Center, works in a highly integrated manner, and the collaboration between the various units is well-functioning. The Thoracic and Vascular Clinic's specialties include heart, lung, and pacemaker surgery.

Thoracic and vascular surgery is part of the Thoracic and Vascular Clinic and is a highly specialized, technology-intensive, and expanding activity at the forefront of the Heart Center at Linköping University Hospital. We treat patients from the Southeast Health Care Region, i.e., Region Kalmar, Region Jönköping, and Region Östergötland.

Job Description

As an anesthesia nurse at the Thoracic and Vascular Clinic, you will provide heart, lung, and vascular surgery and perform endovascular/catheter-based interventions at the Seldinger unit. We also assist the cardiology and physiology clinics with anesthesia and sedation for various procedures. The clinic is responsible for the entire patient process, from referral, reception, surgery, aftercare, to discharge, and thus has a holistic perspective for the patient.

For patients with acute or chronic heart failure and/or failing respiratory function, the clinic also has resources for advanced assist pumps such as ECMO and Impella, etc. We enhance the functions of all team members in the teams and work primarily interprofessionally with very good communication between the different professions surrounding the patient. We are part of a health-promoting project, which means a 35.25-hour work week with full-time pay, and we work with on-call duties.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialized training in anesthesia care. You must have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing as you will communicate with patients, relatives, and colleagues.

It is desirable that you have the ability to work independently and also the ability to collaborate well. We also want you to be attentive and clear in your communication and have the ability to see others' perspectives. Furthermore, we wish that you have a holistic view, take the bigger picture into account, and work well with complex issues and can solve complicated problems.
