The Gastroenterology Clinic's ward treats patients with liver and gastrointestinal diseases requiring both medical and surgical care. Together with the Surgical Clinic, we have a national assignment for highly specialized care (NHV) in reconstructive surgery for patients with inflammatory bowel disease. We also care for patients with endocrine diseases such as diabetes and other hormone-related conditions.

We are proud of our high competence in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – both regarding medical treatment and surgery. Right now, we are in the middle of an exciting development journey, where we are investing extra in person-centered care. We also have care beds for those who need surgical care linked to IBD. During the introduction period, practical work is combined with continuous study days, carefully adapted to the needs of our patient groups, so that you can build a solid theoretical foundation.

In parallel, you will have the opportunity to participate in training and clinical attachments within the clinic's various activities. Job Description

As a nurse with us, you will get a fun and stimulating job where you constantly develop. You will work, among other things, with patients who have inflammatory bowel diseases, both during medical treatment and in the surgical pre- and postoperative phases. This means that you will follow the patient through large parts of the disease course and create a close and secure care relationship.

In working with patients with liver diseases, you will encounter complex and varying nursing needs, which makes the work both challenging and rewarding. You will also get to take responsibility for inpatients with newly diagnosed diabetes, which gives you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in diabetes care and really make a difference for the patients.

As a nurse at our clinic, you are offered good opportunities for professional development, where competence enhancement and further education are given high priority. Several of our nurses combine their tasks on the ward with assignments in our day care operations and/or our outpatient clinic. This combination of tasks is highly valued and ensures continuous and coordinated care for both staff and patients.

About You

You are a licensed nurse, and if you have an interest in gastrointestinal diseases, liver diseases, diabetes, endocrine diseases, surgery, nutrition, and pain, it is an advantage.

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who actively contributes to a positive and professional work environment. You are meticulous, quality-conscious, and show strong commitment to the development of the operations. As a person, you are flexible, see opportunities in change, and work in a structured manner with the ability to plan and prioritize your tasks efficiently.
