The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Holmsund Care and Nursing Home is centrally located in Holmsund, with direct proximity to a health center, pharmacy, and grocery store. We offer excellent opportunities for outdoor activities thanks to balconies, patios, and a shared courtyard. The building has three floors and houses 59 apartments. Holmsund Care and Nursing Home consists of six units; three care and nursing departments, one short-term unit, one service housing department, and a care and nursing department located in Obbola.

We operate based on a person-centered approach, where our activities are based on our users' needs. Our operations consist of 5 departments in Holmsund, as well as one department in Obbola.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for providing our residents with good, safe, and secure care based on their individual needs. Duties include assistance with personal care, meals, medication management, activities, and outdoor excursions.

Upon delegation from the responsible nurse, you will perform medical tasks and be responsible for documenting completed actions, measures, and the residents' health status in accordance with applicable routines.

You contribute to a meaningful and secure daily life through a professional work approach and good communication. As a contact person, you will focus on the resident's participation and self-determination, ensuring that services are delivered with high quality in accordance with assistance decisions and implementation plans.

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in care, preferably in elderly care. It is an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant or caregiver. Previous experience with medication delegation is also a plus.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and obtain medication delegation, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

Your interactions with residents require good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both users and the organization in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and proactive. You have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

Heavy lifting may occur, and mobility aids should be used. Smoking is permitted in the workplace, so you should not be allergic.
