Description

We are now looking for a licensed nurse for the municipal health and medical care, preferably with specialist training in primary health care (district) or elderly care, but this is not a requirement. Our nurses work together within elderly care's special accommodations, short-term stays, regular housing, as well as within LSS care and social psychiatry. The person we are looking for will primarily work in home care and in our special accommodations.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Job Responsibilities

As a nurse in the municipality, you work with health and medical care interventions in close teamwork with other health and medical care staff, health care manager, and the region's primary care. The work involves tasks such as urgent and planned interventions, individual medical assessments, assessments of specific nursing care, as well as risk assessments and fall prevention. In addition to patient-related work, you also have an important role in collaboration with physiotherapists and occupational therapists in multiprofessional teams, as well as with nursing staff and doctors in primary care. The work also involves contacts with external care providers, relatives, and representatives for the patient.

Supervising students is also an important part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We prefer that you have specialist training in elderly care or as a district nurse. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

You have good initiative and are good at thinking outside the box. You have the ability to work independently while also recognizing the importance of collaboration with different professional roles where the patient also has an active role. Of course, you have a good, respectful approach, are attentive, and open in your contacts with both the individuals being cared for and their relatives. You are good at collaborating and want to contribute to good communication and cooperation with colleagues and other stakeholders. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Conditions
