At the Flight Coordination Center (FKC), medical assessment, prioritization, flight planning, and coordination of patient transports for Swedish air ambulance are performed. This work at FKC is carried out jointly by both medical and flight coordinators.

The medical coordination at FKC is staffed with nurses around the clock and is organized as its own department within Region Västerbotten, belonging to Ambulance Care, Västerbotten.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you contribute knowledge and engagement that makes people feel secure.

The tasks at MKA are varied and include, among other things, receiving flight assignment orders, medical prioritization, and coordination of air ambulance missions. The work largely consists of collaboration both in writing and verbally, where you will have daily communication with, among others, staff at SOS Alarm, care departments, and personnel on air ambulances and ambulances.

Furthermore, documentation of medical information and assignment management, as well as service development focusing on patient safety, logistics, and good patient transports, are included.

Initially, you will work full-time at MKA. After completing the introduction, you will work full-time, or 50% at MKA and 50% at a clinical operation according to a round-the-clock schedule, every day of the year, which will be planned between you and the responsible managers.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with a few years of experience who wants to develop in your professional role.

You are a person who enjoys logistics, planning, juggling many tasks, and being the spider in the web. The role involves collaboration with many different actors, which requires good teamwork skills. You are a friendly and attentive person who finds it easy to talk to people.

You should be able to speak and write in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, you should have good computer skills, particularly in the Office suite (Word and Excel).

As the workplace is a security-classified operation, all candidates who proceed in the recruitment process will undergo a security review.

It is an advantage if you master other languages besides Swedish and English.
