Within the health and medical care administration, primary care, dental care, and hospital care are gathered in a common administration and organized into county and local healthcare areas. The local healthcare area of Skellefteå includes the Emergency Department, Medical and Geriatric Clinic, Rehabilitation Center, Psychiatric Clinic, 1177, Center for Surgical Operations, as well as primary care in Skellefteå and Norsjö. Together, these aim to provide good and close care.

The Medical and Geriatric Clinic in Skellefteå is one of the largest clinics in the hospital with approximately 300 employees. The clinic's care places are distributed based on medical and geriatric specialties. The majority of admissions are acute and occur via the emergency department. The outpatient care consists of medicine, geriatrics, and dialysis clinics. The medical clinic also includes day care services and a physiological laboratory. The clinic also has a Research Unit, which is unique for a county hospital.

We are currently looking for an assistant nurse for a summer temporary position at the Medical and Geriatric Clinic, working in the Medical Clinic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as an assistant nurse at the medical and geriatric clinic is both varied and developing. You will work independently with standard tasks within the clinic, such as sampling, examinations, and preparations for doctor visits. In addition, you will have an assisting role during doctor visits for various types of examinations.

Your work is independent, but you will also collaborate closely with both nurses and doctors to provide patients with safe and professional care.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a certified assistant nurse education. Since assistant nurse is a protected title, you need to provide a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a work certificate that allows you to use the title until June 30, 2033.

You have completed the introductory course in emergency care and have an interest in internal medicine and geriatrics. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a medical department and/or geriatric department or other acute care settings.

You need to have a good ability to work independently and are used to organizing and structuring your time and tasks, as well as being able to collaborate easily with others.

As a person, you enjoy varied tasks, have the ability to see the patient as an individual, and are attentive to their unique needs to provide the best possible care and response.
