Service Resource at Väst-Teg Care and Nursing Home

The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that strengthens people's opportunities to live an independent life through proximity and collaboration.

To allow our care staff to focus even more on their core mission, we are now looking for someone to work with the surrounding service tasks at our care and nursing homes. By complementing the organization with this role, we create better conditions for good care and to achieve our vision: "Together for a better life – throughout life!"

We are currently seeking someone to work as a service resource at Väst-Teg Care and Nursing Home – a newly built facility that opened in the autumn of 2024. The home consists of four floors and accommodates a total of 120 apartments distributed across 12 units, with 10 apartments per unit. Each unit has a spacious balcony, and on the ground floor, there is both a café and a glazed outdoor patio.

There is also a production kitchen on-site where meals are prepared and distributed to both care and nursing homes as well as schools around the municipality.

Your Responsibilities

You will primarily work with laundry and cleaning tasks. This includes washing residents' and staff's clothes, as well as cleaning residents' apartments, laundry rooms, and other common areas.

The tasks also include kitchen and food handling, such as receiving deliveries, sorting and distributing food to the units, assisting with meal serving, and handling dishes.

Additionally, the tasks may also involve providing support during meals, simpler care tasks, and accompanying residents on walks.

About You

We are looking for someone who is flexible and has good teamwork skills. You work carefully and with a focus on quality, and you have a strong sense of service. To thrive in this role, you need to be able to receive instructions, work in a structured manner, and also take independent responsibility for your tasks. We place great importance on your personal suitability.

There may be pets in the home, so you should not be allergic.

Requirements

• Experience in cleaning services
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues

Meritorious

• Trained cleaner or service resource
• Experience in elderly care

Other

- Two positions for permanent employment starting as soon as possible by agreement. Working hours are scheduled during the day.
