Project Manager for Digital Channels

You are skilled in digital communication, accustomed to working strategically, and confident in leading others. With a forward-thinking mindset, you drive the development of content, channels, and working methods in a changing and fast-paced environment.

The role combines strategic responsibility with operational execution and has a clear focus on content, web, and digital experience in combination with projects and activities we work on to position and promote our capital. You are an engaged project manager and accustomed to having a 360-degree perspective on the work of positioning and ensuring that stories reach out, engage, and build Stockholm's position locally, nationally, and internationally.

Our mission is to strengthen Stockholm's attractiveness as a leading region for business establishments and tourism, both internationally and nationally. Stockholm Business Region works in close collaboration with the city's other administrations and companies, businesses, academia, and other authorities, institutions, and organizations, as well as regions and municipalities. The City of Stockholm owns the company 100 percent through Stockholm Stadshus AB.

The Communications Department is responsible for working with Stockholm's position and international brand towards target groups such as businesses, visitors, investors, and talents. The department is responsible for marketing and communication, press, PR, digital operations and development, as well as tourist information. The department ensures brand development for stronger international competitiveness.

Your Role

In this role, you will work on;

  • Developing and driving overarching content and channel strategies based on the organization's goals, digital strategy, and user insights,
  • Ensuring that Stockholm's position and stories are advanced and strengthened in our digital channels,
  • Leading a team in daily content work and creating engagement, clarity, and good conditions for the team's work, being a key part of the hub in the company's communications department and contributing to common working methods to achieve the organization's goals together with the entire company,
  • Working with projects, events, and championships in the city and ensuring that the communicative framework yields good results and recognizing the importance of collaborating externally to get more people to drive the positioning of Stockholm,
  • Ensuring that Stockholm Business Region's websites and digital channels are perceived as a cohesive whole and that brand expressions are consistent across web, social media, and campaigns,
  • Working data-driven with analysis, follow-up, and optimization of content, channels, and campaigns and monitoring the external environment to ensure that the development is forward-looking for Stockholm's international brand,
  • Working hands-on with content, structure, publishing, and being responsible for the analysis of organic and paid traffic as well as external reach through collaborations in others' channels,
  • Ensuring ongoing follow-up and continuous improvement, working with performance tracking, and being responsible for adherence to guidelines.

Your Skills and Experience

For this position, you need to have:

  • relevant higher education or other education combined with professional experience that the employer considers equivalent,
  • good knowledge of social media, web, communication, and audience-based content production,
  • experience working data-driven, measuring, analyzing, and following up data,
  • experience in leading a team,
  • experience in project management,
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English,
  • good knowledge of SEO and analytical tools,
  • a good understanding of brand work and a drive to set messages in motion to different target groups.

For this position, it is advantageous if you:

  • are a competent client and used to working with external suppliers,
  • have experience in social media advertising,
  • have previously worked in a goal-oriented organization,
  • have experience with the CMS tool Wagtail,
  • have good knowledge of the laws and regulations required for a publicly owned organization's digital channels.

This role requires you to be development-oriented as the work constantly involves being in change. You are proactive and driving in development work. You are innovative and open to different perspectives, and have good collaboration skills. You invite dialogue, listen actively, and think creatively to position and communicate the city's strengths. You have good leadership skills where you create the conditions needed to creatively and effectively reach common goals. You foster a good culture of engagement and participation for the team you lead and collaborate closely with the company's other departments.
