The municipal executive office works on behalf of the municipal council. We lead, manage, support, and follow up to ensure that the entire municipality operates efficiently and purposefully. In total, we are about 400 employees distributed across five departments. Would you like to help drive Huddinge municipality's digital development? We are looking for a structured and collaborative Product Leader for the Google platform who wants to lead cooperation between operations and IT and ensure modern, secure, and stable solutions for our schools.

About the unit The Digitalization Department at Huddinge municipality is embarking on an exciting journey over the coming years as the municipality aims to become one of Sweden's leading digitalization municipalities. The department consists of the sections Architecture and Innovation, Integrated Business Development, Digital Operations, and Digital Support. We are about 80 employees and are led by the Future Director who reports to the Municipal Director and is part of Huddinge municipality's management team.

The Digital Operations section is responsible for the municipality's technical platforms and infrastructure and is undergoing a clear transition from traditional operations to a customer and governance organization in a multi-sourced delivery environment.

About the role The Google platform is currently widely used within the school operations, which has also had overall responsibility for the platform – both from a business and technical perspective.

Huddinge municipality is now in a conscious transition towards shared responsibility between operations and IT. The school operations will continue to have the overall operational responsibility, including needs and requirement capture, prioritization, and governance of how the platform is used in educational activities. The Digitalization Department will take clearer responsibility for the technical aspects of the administration, such as architecture, infrastructure, security, technical development, and delivery management.

As a Product Leader for Google, you will play a central role in driving, shaping, and establishing this collaboration. You will be responsible for clarifying interfaces, working methods, and division of responsibilities, and ensuring that the needs of the operations are translated into sustainable and secure technical solutions.

The role involves both management and change leadership and is suitable for you who enjoy building structures, creating consensus, and leading collaborations across organizational boundaries.

You will be placed within the Digital Operations section, report to the section manager, and be part of a team that together develops the municipality's digital infrastructure.

Your mission and responsibilities As a Product Leader for Google, you are responsible for the technical management of the Google platform and for ensuring that cooperation between operations and IT functions effectively. Your mission includes:

  • Taking overall responsibility for the technical aspects of the Google platform
  • Actively driving and developing cooperation between school operations and the Digitalization Department
  • Establishing and managing clear working methods for shared responsibility between operations and IT
  • Translating the needs and requirements of the operations into technical specifications, solutions, and orders
  • Being a technical advisor and counterpart to the operations regarding the platform's possibilities, limitations, and security
  • Being responsible for ordering, monitoring, and managing external suppliers
  • Ensuring quality, security, and compliance with agreements, architectural principles, and regulations
  • Working on continuous improvements and further development of the platform
  • Participating in and, if necessary, driving change and development initiatives
  • Ensuring that management is conducted according to ITIL and PM3
  • Contributing to knowledge sharing and support regarding technical Google solutions and best practices.

Your profile We are looking for someone with experience working in the intersection between operations and IT and who enjoys building structures, relationships, and clarity in complex environments.

You are also comfortable in a leadership role without formal personnel responsibility and have the ability to drive change through collaboration. You succeed because you are a team player who takes responsibility, shares knowledge, and contributes to the whole.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience in a similar role within a municipality, public sector, or larger organization
  • Good knowledge of the Google platform in educational activities
  • Broad technical understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud platforms
  • Experience with outsourced IT deliveries and supplier management
  • Knowledge of ITIL (certification is an advantage)
  • Experience with PM3 or similar management model
  • Very good collaboration and communication skills
  • An analytical, solution-oriented, and pragmatic working style
  • High integrity and professional approach
