Medical Physics and Technology (MFT) is expanding its mission in the field of sterilization technology. We are now looking for two dedicated and competent employees to join this new grouping. The new group will work across the region in hospitals and health centers. One of these positions will be based at Mälarsjukhuset and one will be based at Nyköpings lasarett.

MFT has operations and workplaces at Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, Nyköpings lasarett, and Kullbergska sjukhuset in Katrineholm. In total, we are about 50 employees. With us, you will have good opportunities to apply previous experiences and develop in your professional role.

Your Responsibilities

As a medical technology engineer in sterilization technology with us, you will have an independent and developing role where you are responsible for maintenance, repair, configuration, and calibration of medical technology equipment and systems. You will be involved in the procurement and implementation of new systems, documentation, and deviation management, as well as training and supporting healthcare staff in the use of the equipment.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Independently perform corrective and preventive maintenance on medical technology equipment, primarily disinfection and sterilization equipment.
• Participate in procurement, installation, and upgrading of medical technology equipment.
• Document and manage deviations according to applicable regulations.
• Train and instruct healthcare staff in the use of equipment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and healthcare staff to ensure safe and secure care.
• Contribute to the development of routines and processes within the technical area.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a technician, university, or master's engineer with a focus on medical technology. Previous experience working with disinfection and sterilization equipment is highly valued. You have good knowledge of Swedish and technical English.

A driving license (B) is required as travel is part of the job.

Employment Type

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may be applicable for 6 months.
